May

May is typically our time to recover from the chaotic months prior. This month was definately not as chaotic as March and April, but still had a few events to keep us from getting lazy and into a routine :-)

We started the month with what I thought was just a teething fever, until Griffin woke up from his nap with a temp of 105.5. As I think most moms who aren't medically inclined would do, I flipped out! That's REALLY high! So I called the Dr. up here by our house because our pediatrician is an hour away, and they said either go to the ER or go in and hope their dr. could treat him. Of course, I went to the Dr. because who wants to pay for the ER if you can help it? He looked at him, saw no other symptoms and just said," it must be the stupid virus that's going around.... He'll have a high fever for about a week, and probably you shouldn't take him out so we can stop the virus from spreading more." a few hours later (after hours, so I couldn't call the dr. back) his fever got to 106.7! ACK! Anyway, the nurse said as long as Tylenol keeps it down we're ok to let it get that high. So that was that, we were on house arrest for a week. It lasted 6 days before the fever was gone, then 2 days after that of non-stop uncontrollable crying... like ready to throw him out the window crying! That's a long time to be sleep deprived and have cranky kids! Luckilly we all survived with no injury :-) I took the kids to school the following Monday, Extatic to have a break, and when I picked them up, Deegan had a fever of 104.... Here we go again! It was the EXACT same story, 1 week later. That was about all of the drama for May, but it was a long 2 weeks!!!

Once we were all better, Deegan and I decided to build a sand table on one of the Saturdays that Adam was working...

we had lots of fun!

The boys love to ride in the basket...

"Maybe we should get something so you don't have to ride together..."

"Hmm, that's better!"

:-)

I LOVE this kid!

Memorial Weekend we went to my In-laws for Sunday afternoon and night, then over to my parents for a family BBQ on Monday.

Movie time at Grandma's

Dirty Shirts= Laundry time!

Deegan was SO excited to put up the flag! For those of you who didn't know or have forgotten, he has a thing for flags...

He really likes them!

Then we went to Jorgensen's for our BBQ, and we were having SO much fun that I didn't take any pictures :-)

My mom and dad had just gotten home from a long trip to Hawaii, so they brought back some fun things (Shirts, and jewelry!) for all of us!  I'll post pics of all of the boy's fun shirts when I get a chance to take some!

April

Here's my quick update for April... almost caught up- One more month! :-)

March and April are always SUPER busy months. We have 6 family birthdays in March, 4 in April, including mine and Griff's, and Easter, which makes for a lot of family get togethers!

Easter:
Easter Egg Hunt #1 (with Powell Fam)

Easter Egg Hunt #2 (with Jorgensen Fam)

Easter Egg Hunt #3 (By ourselves Easter day)

Too much Easter Egg hunting!

Pickles to keep the kids from going out and finding the eggs before everyone else

Another pickle addict... I can't afford this!! I better have a girl next time so we can stop the pickle madness at our house and have some girly food instead! :-)

Lucky for me, Deegan likes cookies too! ... and cookie dough! And yes, I love to share it with him... I ate raw cookie dough tons of times and I'm still alive!

And last but not least, Griffin turned 1! My dad took all the pics, so I still need to get them and then I will post them. We took balloons to school for his birthday and the kids had a blast playing with them!
